@hollywoodtheatre.org This week makes it 52 weeks in a row seeing something at The Hollywood. I've seen 90 films there since last November. (If I'd thought about this more, I would have snagged all the running times. Maybe I'll start.)
Screen grab of a Swarm check-in showing 52 straight weeks at the Hollywood Theatre.

As you mentioned Crater Lake In the Drop Us A Line show, here’s a photo from 2021. It’s an amazing view once you get there. We were lucky — two days before that, the view was obscured by wildfire smoke.
Photo of the lake in the crater of Crater Lake. The water is a perfectly still medium-to-dark blue and above it is a cloudless blue sky.

@andrewhunterm.bsky.social Hi :) The next time you do Hendrix facts, you could consider doing one on how he spelled his name Jimi rather than, say, Jimmy :)

@hollywoodtheatre.org Hey :) This is an oddly specific time for Weapons! I can’t work out if it’s meant to be 2pm something else.
Screenshot of the times for Weapons on 9th August showing a start time of 2:17pm.

Email from Hulu today saying that they are going to be putting ads into some programs even in their “no ads” and “ad free” options. (Also: presumably there’s a difference between “no ads” and “ad free”?)
Screenshot of an email from Hulu saying “We are clarifying that, as we continue to increase the breadth and depth of the content we make available to you, circumstances may require that certain titles and types of content include ads, even in our 'no ads' or 'ad free' subscription tiers.”

Finally got so annoyed that I can't CMD+F to find film titles on @letterboxd.social pages that I decided to see if the site's code would support a custom Stylus rule to hide the images and expose some text. Luckily, Letterboxd has some reasonably decent HTML, which was helpful.
A screen grab of Letterboxd's Stanley Kubrick page showing a grid of rectangles displaying the text of film titles where there are usually pictures of the film's artwork.

Presumably, Etsy's current Last Minute Gifts "gift for him" was expertly handmade and not, uh, tossed off at the last minute…
screen grab of a "related searches" section, showing five categories of gifts: "gift for her" is a book, "gift for him" is a washcloth embroidered with the words "cum rag", "gift for mom" is a bunch of flowers, "gift for kid" looks like some neon signs, "gift for dad" is a blanket in a box, and "gift for men" looks like a sheet of etched perspex.

Nice to see Polaris Hall in Portland embracing some Cockney rhyming slang…
The exterior neon "POLARIS" sign outside the venue. The first two letters are missing.

Just paid €6.66 for Briqueville's new IIII album, purely to get the Bandcamp satan egg. briqueville.bandcamp.com/album/iiii

Well, Apple Music's Replay for 2023 is out. Apparently, my top track for 2023 is some awfulness called Drop by Connor Price & Zensery. Never heard of it before today, never heard of them before today, and never want to hear that track again.

Hugely disappointing "not in word list" message in today's New York Times Spelling Bee puzzle.
