I give you $1b per year. You give me $1b per year. Now we created two businesses, each doing $1 billion ARR (much money, such economy)... yet no money changes hands, no value created, no services provided. This is the gist of the LLM bubble, and this will be the plot of The Big Short 2 in 2035 🙃

@johnsundell.bsky.social Regarding www.swiftbysundell.com/articles/let... I do vars all of the time (including for IDs), with the exception of structs that contain dependent values that I want pre-computed. For instance, struct {let value: Int; let derivedValue: String; init(value: Int) {…}} 1/2

I have a rant: Infinite timelines does not mean anything is possible. There is an infinite number of numbers between 0 and 1, and yet, 2 will never be a part of those numbers. There is an infinite number of rational numbers between 1 and 2, and yet sqrt(2) is not one of them. Etc.

FB16095529 There are so many issues with the cursor and the window manager in general in macOS 😑
Screen shot of a feedback to Apple showing the following text:

Please describe the issue and what steps we can take to reproduce it:
- Trigger the Siri input (“Type to Siri,” the input field which changes color goes from yellow to orange to red, etc.);
- Type some text in here w/o moving the mouse.

The cursor should disappear (and reappear when the mouse moves) like it does for every other text fields in the system.
It does not and it drives me crazy.

Safari tip of the day: grab a screenshot of a scrolling page from Developer Tools by right-clicking the HTML node and choosing "Capture Screenshot". Great for sharing a proposed website change without deploying somewhere!
Use the Web Inspector to capture a screenshot of a long webpage from top to bottom for easy sharing. An example screenshot for a scrolling page, captured with Safari's Web Inspector.
