Yes this photo is featured in the zine along with my photos of the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign, taken on the site of that state-sanctioned police riot in June 1984.

The zine for Rebellion! is now available in my shop. It has 55 photos distilled down from 40,000 taken over the life of the project. I’m very pleased with the quality of the printing and hope you like it marcdavenant.com/product/rebellion-…

The Rebellion! exhibition opens in June at Newcastle City Library and will be there for three months. It is an exploration of protest as an essential part of our cultural identity in the face of draconian anti-protest legislation.
Poster with a photo of a Red Rebel against a bright yellow background. The poster has the words:
REBELLION!

 progress has
 been made,
 through disobedience
 and through rebellion"

The Outsiders touring exhibition will be shown next at Blackpool Central Library from 14 April to 25 May 2025. This will be the pin-up version of the exhibition, essentially the same display which was shown inside the Houses of Parliament in January last year.
A print of a photograph of a bearded man lying on the output tray of a large printer. The photo is of a man named Charlie who was experiencing homelessness when I spoke to him in 2016. The photo is from the Outsiders Project documenting homelessness and substandard housing across Britain.

Huge thank you to @crisis-uk.bsky.social for stepping in and handling the transportation of the Outsiders exhibition from venue to venue. It’s been a lifesaver as we only budgeted for three bookings but ended up with twelve. It’s a fabulous charity in every respect.

New Year. New Name. Same Brand. Been toying with the idea of the name for a few years. Doric Skateboards had got too restrictive in the mind of potential customers and maybe my own head. And so to celebrate the first year in the Studio, I thought let’s do this.

Swansea, Wales - 'Yma/Here' (11 & 12) An ambiguous and extensive examination of the urban topography of South Wales and the West of England from 2016 to 2018.
A view of the frontage of Volcano Theatre on High Street in Swansea. There is a large painting of a woman's head above the main entrance - it is a depiction Elizabeth Taylor. Below the painting there is a canopy that runs the length of the building. Leaned upon the canopy is a ladder with a person on it. At the bottom of the ladder is another person ensuring the ladder is safely positioned. They are the only people in the scene.A chest freezer left in a door way. Upon the chest freezer is attached a label which says 'This is not a toilet'. Some people, eh?A view down a side street towards a multi-storey car par. On the left hand side of the street is a vacant building and on the right hand side is an office. Road markings in English and Welsh can be seen on the tarmac. Above, the sky is cloudy. Although difficult to pick out there is a person walking towards the junction from the direction of the car park.
