This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

I feel super stupid, but I just learned that Ship of Harkinian uses AI so now i'm strongly considering playing something else. I could randomize Dark Souls and run it in Crowd Control. I don't know what else to do. I made a poll, so please let me know what you think. strawpoll.com/Q0Zp73RlDgM

Do you think powerful people were this egregiously stupid in the past and it's just that we lacked the technology for the general public to see it or are these assholes just asking for it?

Starting next month, I'll be running a Ocarina of Time SoH randomizer in Crowd Control to help raise money for friends. For every $5 raised the randomizer gets more random. If you can't give 5 dollars that's okay, every donation counts goes towards the goals. The run starts Oct 2! paypal.me/amledo

A graphic for my charity randomizer listing the incentives at 5 dollar increments.

Randomized enemies, shuffled stores, randomized song locations, boss souls enabled, shuffled master sword, 3x fall damage, 2x damage, shuffle dungeon keys, randomized dungeon entrances, triforce hunt, fully randomized chests, shuffle kokiri sword, songs appear anywhere, shuffle ocarina buttons, shuffle child's wallet, fully random entrances, grass etc have items, FISHSANITY

It feels like forever since i last streamed, and even longer since i posted about it on social media, but I'm feeling well enough to try streaming again. We built 3 kits on stream today and I'm so glad i finally finished them! Especially Bridget, I've been waiting to build her on stream so long!

Model kits of gunpla-kun, zaku-kun, best girl brisket guiltygear and her friend roger.

This sounds like it could be burnout. I'd suggest either slowly easing yourself back into creating with no expectations, just to see how it feels, or taking a deliberate break. I remember you mentioning having a hard time resting, but i do recommend having a clear idea of your goals and wants.

Nice to have a citation for the stuff we all sort of assume to be true but question if it's just our own biases making it look that way

Screenshot from the article in the quoted post, saying "Piff and his colleagues found that upper-class drivers were more likely to cut other cars off at junctions and ignore pedestrians at crossings. Wealthier people also appeared more willing to lie at work. In one experiment, volunteers were left alone with a jar of sweets ostensibly meant for children. When the researchers returned, upper-class people had snaffled nearly twice as many candies as lower-class people.

“The general pattern seems to be that with wealth and rising power, you become less engaged with the needs of others and less burdened by the needs of social relationships,” Piff said. “Taking candy from children might be the least of our worries but it’s emblematic of the tendency to prioritise one’s own needs over those of others.”

if a white supremacist says anything you should assume every single word is a lie unless completely independently verified by an entirely unrelated source. if they say it is thursday you should ask an expert on days of the week. this should be the bare minimum standard in this media landscape
