Kinda wild seeing that genai defending cow vtuber in clips with bigger names like PorcelainMaid. I don't follow bigger vtubers (partially for shit like this ofc) but clips will float in front of me every now and then and its just... idk, unsurprising atp. Shitty behavior breeds success somehow

Okay nope, this is the best game ever. Ran into a character that specifically makes me feel seen and... wow I actually didn't think I'd get so much of an emotional response to it A very pretty woman, but who's voice could be mistaken for a male/masculine voice, which uh... yeah. Das literally me

A few hours in, I have to say that I'm really enjoying @nivalisgame.com The aesthetic is gorgeous and the story is interesting. My only complaints are performance related, though I'm sure that optimization is being worked on, but its definitely worth getting! (also runs solidly on linux via steam)

Screenshot of the game Nivalis Nights

The screenshot itself consists of a cyberpunk styled city landscape featuring a noodle bar with bright neon lights at the center, with bright hanging lantern lights poking out at the top left and some asian-inspired architecture for some of the buildings in the background

the art-style is a mix of pixelated (something more akin to a voxel-style) with more detailed character models in futuristic/cyberpunk styled outfits including random neon lights either in the clothes or even their skin via intricate tattoos.

Cont. screenshots from Nivalis Nights, but from the perspective of inside the noodle shop, facing outwards. Three people are sitting at the bar (from left to right) a black woman with long neon blue hair with neon pink tips and a shiny white reflective dress, a tanned-skin man with short cropped dark blue hair brushed forward with a similar colored goatee wearing a lighter blue jacket with a black and white striped design, and a white woman with long blonde hair in a ponytail with a dark cap on wearing a dark, possibly black colored jacket with yellow trim.

I don't even say this in an "i would never" accusatory fashion either, I've played them on stream before but i learn and adjust from there. I don't play them anymore because it doesn't align with what I feel is right but that type of decision alone shouldnt mean less "success" by default, yknow?

Y'all really do not care if developers use genAI as long as it's not in the game, or as long as the game is something you want to play/is considered to be a "good" game. If the baker is playing in radioactive raw sewage, there is no way that it's not getting into their cakes.

A post from Reddit by soulburner_spb / Developer Skull

You may not believe me, but we're not using the AI in Graveyard keeper 2.

Yes, I'm experimenting with every AI I can find. This is what every techh guy should do now.

I'm constantly creating some small experimental projects that are not shared with the audience and have to do nothing with Graveyard Keeper.

I'm not doing the art - we have about 8 artist for that. I'm not doing sound or music either. I'm just a tech guy hat is experimenting with the tech to understand what it can do.
