Please, if you use something I made, be it music or sound, please just credit somewhere. It was free to begin with, attribution costs nothing but a few words. That's all I ask. Me, and many other creators.

Swapped out two of my fans for Noctua and yeah. That has made a vast difference in noise levels. £12 per-fan but I regret nothing.

@FreakyFwoof Yup. I grew up in a heavily Chinese/Korean area. It's a popular supersticion in these cultures that you shouldn't leave fans running in a closed room for too long, because they'll suck out all the oxygen. So if the classroom was hot, but it was raining so the windows couldn't be […]

Once knew a guy that swore up and down that he'd only ever use gold-plated *optical* cable, because it, 'carried the sound better.' He said he could hear normal cables, such as those that shipped with, at the time, minidisk players. Have you ever known someone believe something so hard like […]

I fell for the Booking.com WhatsApp scam today. There has apparetly been a #databreach at #bookingcom, which provides a little bit of truth to this "please verify your credit card now" scam. What happens if you take a sample of human speech and force an autoencoder to continue it? For those of you who are unfamiliar, an autoencoder is a type of neural network usually used to encode and reproduce speech data. In general, it would be guided as part of a text to speech model like […]

How is it that a man in a high position in an apparently 'developed' country can get away with saying publicly, and I quote: 'no fatties, no trannies, no beardos, no weirdos, no whimps, no radicals.' The actual hell is that about? Whichever side of the divide you fall on, what, actually, is that?
