Made it back to Pittodrie after 3.5 years on Saturday, having a wife who works every 2nd weekend and 2 kids gets in the way. The football was dire. Aberdeen hierarchy deserve credit for off field improvements - free travel on First Buses, the scoreboard, safety improvements made to the South Stand.

The reach of a half decent national team is wild. Football class this morning with Ailsa. 4 out of the 6 kids there in full Scotland strips. When we were growing up, no one wore them. JD and the SFA have cashed in very well on the young kids and got supporters for life

Very surprising but with two young kids myself, I get the reasoning. I wouldn't want to work down in Edinburgh Monday to Thursday & be anywhere in Scotland on Friday & potentially weekends. You would miss out on so much. It sets up a Stephen Flynn leadership challenge to underwhelming John Swinney

Interesting to see how this goes. Same deal as Highland League and Juniors have, players can be on loan but still move freely between the clubs playing for example HL on Wednesday and Jnrs on Saturday on repeat. Lads on loan to L2 might not do that but maybe those with Championship clubs would.

Air conditioning is a lifesaving adaptation to the climate crisis. I’m all for regulation & innovation to reduce its environmental impact (heat pumps, better refrigerants, solar-powered systems), but it’s very difficult to look at these charts & argue people should just close their curtains etc.
