If you work with acoustic telemetry receiver logs, you know how much work can sit between a folder of CSVs and a useful view of the data. ReceiverLogs beta builds for macOS and Windows are now available for download. A short thread:

Your feedback will help shape what I build next. ReceiverLogs is pre-release evaluation software, not for production use. Keep backups and independently verify results. Download the beta and explore the Help: receiverlogs.com #AcousticTelemetry #TrackingNotSlacking

The beta is free to test and evaluate. Detailed online Help is available, and beta users can request an invitation to the Slack workspace. Try it with copies of real-world datasets and tell me where it helps, where it falls short, and what it should do next.

ReceiverLogs is designed for interactive exploration of datasets containing tens of millions of detections. Because it runs locally, you can work without an internet connection in the field or the lab.

ReceiverLogs is a local-first desktop app built to shorten that path. It turns receiver-log CSVs into explorable data in minutes, bringing charts, maps, receiver diagnostics, and animal and station metadata together in one local project.

can i offer you a nice stream restoration in this trying time
tall view of a winding stretch of restored streambank in Broadview Heights in April. Wooden stakes line the edge of the sloped banks to encourage vegetation growth and reduce erosion. The stream is shallow and homes are visible behind the bare trees in the distance. The sky is gray above the horizon.

A comparison of PMC-TOA & CTCRW and YAPS within a case study on smolt migrations. Here, YAPS consistently failed to fully converge and didn't return standard error values (i.e. no confidence ellipses).A comparison of PMC-TOA and TDOA positioning applied to a smolt migration dataset. Positions are post processed with a Kalman filtered CTCRW model. Tag reflections resulted in incoherent tracks for TDOA positioning.Satellite image of the study area where the case study data was collected and which the simulated study was based on. The fishpass and spillway are hard structures and likely culprits for causing the reflected tag transmissions detected across the receiver array.
