I just think its funny that both shows have such an overlapping fanbase, one is a very unserious musical comedy about hell that occasionally gets serious, while the other is a loose queer retelling of IHNMAIMS with a little bit of Satre's No Exit thrown in there, like polar opposite shows.

Yeah both shows arent too deep, but they dont have to be. I think Spindlehorse and Viv are aiming for the "deep but deeply stupid" kind of media (Stuff like Xavier: Renegade Angel, Disco Elysium, Metal Gear Rising etc.) but I think it misses the mark a bit, but it doesn't have to be deep to be good.
