There IS abuse in my story, but it's perpetuated by OTHER CHARACTERS, WHO ARE BAD GUYS to my central cast, and the main conceit of my romance is that the MC and RL bond because of their shared experiences with trauma, not because they're perpetuating harm onto each other 😫

Again, I completely empathize with how defeating it can feel to get negative feedback on something we worked hard on. And it's important to understand that "you can't please everyone all the time" and some people are just NOT going to be into your particular brand of story

Please imagine for effect that I am saying them very slowly, in the style of an American tourist talking to a local who doesn't speak English, as that is about the amount of comprehension and mastery that you have over the English language.
