Some evidence to suggest the gap between the premier league and championship is increasing, too

Data visualisation

Shows boxplots of the year-on-year change in ratio of goals scored to goals conceded for teams that have been changed division via promotion or relegation across the last 7 years.

The change in ratio is tending to increase each year, from an average of around 75% in 2019-2021, to around 100% in 2022-2024, before hitting almost 150% for teams in the most recently completed season.

Lovely to see Fulham FC showing loyalty and sticking with their "Asian betting partner" SBOTOP for another season after they were fined £3.5 million in the Isle of Man for ignoring pretty much all money-laundering regulations. SBOTOP are now "licensed" in a Canadian First Nation reservation.

Some of those comparisons seem a bit farfetched / hindsighty (particularly Nkunku, not sure how we can compare him to Cherki given we’re still waiting for their MCI’s one and only friendly) but the point is made. xMins are king and being mostly boring with one punt seem to be the way to go for me.😄

I had Barco, Quansah and Nkunku in my GW1 team last year. 🤦🏼‍♂️ combine that with Solanke injury and Hall losing his place shortly thereafter … and it was just a brutal start to the season tbh. Some of the decisions were my fault, others were not. 🤷🏼‍♂️

At a price of £5.0m, Christie offers you an opportunity to save £0.5m if you already have Caicedo or Anderson in your team without really giving up too much imho. Current TSB% are 7.5% for Caicedo, 3.4% for Anderson... and 0.6% for Christie. Like I said, a potential gem!💎

His CBIR + T #s are not a fluke either as he accumulated 13.29 CBIR + 2.66 Tackles per 90 in 2023/24, or 1.17 DefCon points per game. (top 5 amongst qualifying MIDs)

And he is a DefCon monster!!! 💪 He racked up 13.87 CBIR (top amongst MIDs) and 2.3 tackles per game last season. This translates to 1.11 DC points per game, just behind Anderson (1.18) and Caicedo (1.13).

Ryan Christie missed 8 games last year for BOU but is a regular starter when healthy - 35/37 and 27/29 starts/GP over the last two seasons.

Ryan Christie - overlooked DefCon gem💎 ➡️ Moises Caicedo & Elliot Anderson have garnered most of the attention amongst MIDs for their DefCon points, rightfully so as they would have gained an extra 42 & 36 points, respectively, last yr 🍒 but there's a certain BOU player that is being over-looked imo

Maybe I am dumbing it down a bit but I'm not sure I understand why Ndiaye is 11% owned and seemingly in most drafts I see here (and on twitter), whereas Sarr is 2% owned and barely gets a mention. Fixtures are better for EVE early on but CRY is a much better attack.

This is true, he did underperform last year. But that usually hasn't been the case looking at his previous seasons. GW20-38 goal involvements 8 for Sarr (10.52 NPxGI) 4 for Ndiaye (3.36 NPxGI)
