Groß is an interesting one. At the start of the season he seemed like a fine option for his price but far from a must have. His underlying numbers basically back that up - though his actual returns have massively overperformed. He will continue to tick along fine, but keep expectations realistic.

Imagine a scenario where a highly owned player probably misses two games. And it happens at the exact moment whem you have not one but TWO good options who play promoted teams both weeks and are on pens. But plenty of people will just bench him instead to play Brighton players against Arsenal.

Think there's a strong correlation between those pushing 'keep JP' and those who have spent a lot of money on subs. Obviously a team dependent thing but it makes sense if your 12th man costs 5.5m+ to just use that player.

Template strategy seems to have shifted a lot this year from previous seasons. ✅ Loads of budget spent on subs ✅ Keep injured players Not really vibing with this new approach tbh. Way too risk-averse for my taste.

Seems like everyone is working on the assumption JP is back in GW6 and keeping him. Based on mainly vibes. My hunch (also based on vibes) is that it drags on a bit but each week will have the same will he/won't he uncertainty.

Been out most of the day so not engaged in what's happened. What are the learnings? A brief look at the numbers for my own players makes me happy with Saka & Tarko. Isak blank but underlying holding up. Palmer a concern. Sold Schade because of upcoming fixtures but he's still great. What else?

I think triple captain makes sense this week for those not on WC/FH and who have no intention of owning Haaland at any point. But if you will have the 🤖 in GW7 or GW16 then I think those are both better opportunities.
