So this just solved that issue. One of the big issues with current EV trucks is that they’re frankly hideously overspecced, but a $30k shitbox with realistic design goals can probably do well and be the basis for a crossover. Especially with the 3 part body making multiple configurations possible.

Thing I don’t think I’ve seen anyone mention before but is probably worth considering: of the notionally American automakers, Ford’s probably the most fucked after Tesla. It looks a lot like FCA before the Stellantis merger but without a Jeep to make the thing worthwhile as a partner.
