People are bad with probability and scale. Which is why there's a perception that Nintendo will orbital strike anything vaguely looking like a fangame, because that's what appears in headlines. The reality is there are THOUSANDS of Mario fangames, romhacks and more. Same with Pokemon. 99.5% survive
