I like to jump from one creative project to the next, but I am currently working on finishing up a board game I've designed and hope to eventually turn into a digital game. Discord Community: imgur.com/a/amalgam-board-game-rule…

Slowly making progress on the digital implementation of my #boardgame Amalgam. #indiedev & #gamedev is a slow process - but I am having fun learning along the way. My friend Paweł is starting to make some animations/art to hopefully start getting rid of the placeholders.

Another update on my #indiedev progress. Without knowing the rules, it probably just looks like a bunch of gibberish, but I promise I am making progress :) #boardgame #Godot #gamedev #abstractstrategy #game

Been working on cleaning up code mostly to make everything work together a little more as expected. Still have a lot to do, but it's starting get some more progress. (basic movement/attack/ability logic is complete minus the Void amplification for each ability) #indiedev #boardgames #gamedev #Godot

Random thought: The more I look at the word "queue" - it's quite a strangely spelled word...

🎲✂️ Has anyone ever thought about making a satirical board game about ongoing issues? One of those where each character such as "John Smith" is obviously x, y, or z in real life...and the game just makes fun of a whole situation while also being quite spot on about the current situation of things?

I played my first game of Regicide with the wife today! It was a lot of fun :) It's nice to be able to play with a standard deck of playing cards. We got to the Kings, and the first one was a Spade - we barely defeated it, then instantly lost against the next King. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/30...

Working on the digital implementation of #boardgame in #Godot. I have implemented all of the movement and standard attacks as shown in the video below - now I just have to implement the abilities! :) PS: It's a competitive abstract strategy. #gamedev #indiedev #boardgames #hobby

I have an issue that's been bothering me for a while, and I am ready to try and find a solution, but I'd like some feedback from all the 🎲✂️'s here: 🧵 #boardgames #graphicdesign Each player has different pieces that are differentiated through colors, and each player uses WHITE or BLACK pieces...

I need feedback again please! 🎲✂️ #boardgames I am not sure if this looks too..."cartoon-y", or like I am promoting to young children? I genuinely can't tell if I love or hate this haha. I need honest feedback if I need to trash this concept/style or not...please help 😅!

🎲✂️ Been looking at this for far too long, I need an extra set of eyes: Old: Standard abilities on top half of page, and amplified on bottom half. New: Standard abilities on left half, and amplified on the right. Does the new one look better, or am I better off with the old one? #boardgames

🎲✂️ Adapted my sell sheet to be used as the "Overview" of the rules document - and honestly I am wondering if this alone would be enough enough as a sell sheet. Any feedback on this design? I am pretty happy with it, but it feels...off. I don't know if it's missing something or its the layout.

🎲✂️I started out with the version above and below, which I like - but due to reworking & adding some information I found it to be a tight fit and switched to the Left/Right format. Does the left and right format make it hard to follow the fact that all of the subsections belong to the major category?

🎲✂️ I need to upload some PnP files for my board, but it's a 2ft board. Do I just upload the board as one image file? Do I just upload the SVG to allow them to use it as they want, or do I break the image into different pages so that they can easily print it on multiple pages and tape them together?

🎲✂️. What's everyone's views/opinions/experiences with fabric game "boards". I ordered this "tablecloth" a while ago to be used as a playtest board, haven't really had the chance to use it yet, but was wondering why they aren't used more in published games. Does it come down to the price? (1/2)

Wondering if this happens to anyone else: I'm working out an idea in my head, so I decide it would probably be more effective to do it written on paper - but soon as I decide to brainstorm on paper, I got nothing...so I simply go back to brainstorming in my head. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A 2 Player #Mahjong Variant I made. The key distinguishing principle is the way you discard tiles, which helps to better simulate 4 player Mahjong, as well as also adding additional defensive/offensive stragies (you can score/negate scores based off your discards) 🎲✂️ #boardgame #tabletop

Anyone here have any success with creating a digital (video game) version of their board game 🎲✂️? I feel like it's a pretty niche area, and I often only see it done with the classics that already have a huge player base (like chess, mahjong, etc). What's everyone's thoughts? #boardgame
