I use this trick all the time in my games! In XTRIS, the board state is updated instantly, so players can tap as fast as they want and always score a point without wait frames. But the animation runs on its own "layer", allowing me to squash, stretch, and create interesting animations!

working on making an auto-tiling engine for a Picotron game that can turn a map of drawn paths (top) into a filled out screen (bottom) it's tricky though so it's not quite there yet 😂 #picotron #gamedev

CW: transphobia & slurs some receipts I dug up this morning - these aren't weird edge-cases, it didn't take long at all to find these 1) demanding proof from someone being harassed in a VC and being unprofessional in their handling of the situation 2) slur being used and no action taken by mods

User "LookDivyDude" uses a racial slur and then backs up what he says as "Freedom of Speech" and "I didn't say the full word." A moderator is in chat, "mr. ui & ux", but doesn't take action against the bad actor. The fact that the user isn't banned, and the hate speech isn't deleted from the channel, is a big red flag.

spoon-friendly holiday treat: dipped oreos!! ✨🎄🥄 - 1 C (170g) of baking chips (chocolate, caramel, etc) - 2 Tbsp (27g) of coconut oil Heat in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between, until silky smooth Dip Oreos (or other treats!) and place in fridge for an hour!
