The fact that many of the people on UC are also working is not mentioned until way, way down in this Times story. Same for the detail that lots of previous benefits have been phased out and rolled into UC. But above all, the TPA is a pressure group funded by people who avoid and evade tax.

Walked home by this 'beauty' at the end of our street, last night. It's up for demolition, but the three remaining (elderly) residents are holding out against the compulsory purchase price. It's one of three tower blocks in my local area that have structural failings.

Jeezus! This reminds me of my fluffy black cat Pumpkin (sadly no longer with us). She did exactly this. She would hurtle up the stairs, launch herself six steps down from the landing, briefly achieve geostationary orbit through the open bedroom door, then land on the bed or my belly with a "RUH!" 😸
