iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Could you imagine? A custom system that’s ps3 generation level but can do that at 60fps. Make it a haven for indie devs. No subs. Games on cd/dvd and maybe even GOG support! Price it at $249 with 1 controller and a sonic game. I think Sega would sell millions!

I don’t think I’ll be buying another new console, not even the switch 2…unless I see a sweet deal for it in ten years. I’ll probably get GTA6 on ps5, but I’m pc and Linux (eventually) from here on out unless something really cool happens in the console space. If only Sega would make a Dreamcast 2 ❤️

Yea….i long for the days when I worked at Best Buy as a 16 year old in 2000. CRTS, Dreamcast, people called each other, no social media. Phew, I never knew how good we had it back then!

Nice! I remember those. What’s it like to play an fps with? Do you have video of that?

@dark1x.bsky.social “Retroid’s CEO announced he had taken out a mortgage on his house to develop and manufacture a new 4:3 OLED screen that didn’t exist anywhere on the market” I’d love to see DF check this out for that screen.

It’s sad to think politicians need cheat codes to exhibit compassionate, caring, and mature behavior

Big fan of Scott’s no bullshit reasoning. Him and Kara are a badass duo.

God if they rereleased the DREAMCAST but with upgraded hardware (to play Naomi games and QOL updated like a cmos battery that doesn’t die, wireless controllers, & Wi-Fi for multiplayer) with a game or 2, & a controller for $199.99 like the launch price. Everyone would lose their minds & Insta-buy.

What if Microsoft puts a drive in their next box and is the only console on the market left with one. Would everyone rush to get an Xbox?

Fix or Bricks @fixorbricks.bsky.social · 25/06/2026

Tbh a game that costs billions for $79.99 seems reasonable to me.

000

Fix or Bricks @fixorbricks.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

So does the disc drive play the game off the disc or does it rip the game to the sdcard?

as a human with an XL glove sized hand, I 100% second that

000

Fix or Bricks @fixorbricks.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

I’d agree with you but I have XL glove sized hands, and if you move the analogue stick down, it becomes a pain to use that left stick / hold the entire unit comfortably.

Your games and console may be ready to go but it's all pointless if you don't have a working gamepad. Take a look at how Camran (IG: superlevelz) repairs a Nintendo 64 controller with the help of a few of our tools.

Tbh I think it’s kinda cool. Reminds me a bit of the handheld space atm. Many use the same chipset but offer wildly different experiences. Might be a nice shakeup for the console space.

Lotta usage on those, but I’ve relied on used drives for my 1U Lacie8Big raid since buying it in 2015. Started with 8x 4tb & recently replaced that set with 8x 10tb. All used enterprise disks. Overall across the 16 drives, only had 2 drives fail. If you raid6, statistically you’re in the clear.
