A key mystery in cancer research is that the disease occurs in certain parts of the body and not others - find out what Glasgow scientists @uofgnews.bsky.social @cruk-si.bsky.social discovered when they asked why 👇🥼 www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottis... @cancergrand.bsky.social @cancerresearchuk.org

It's🎄so time to look back at the incredible work of CRUK researchers. In the summer Dr Kevin Myant @uoe-igc.bsky.social discovered bowel cancer cells "shapeshift" to make them tougher and better able to spread. This will help find new treatments for cancer @cancerresearchuk.org #FrontierResearch

Scientists at the @robertslab1.bsky.social raised more than £650 for @cancerresearchuk.org by braving the mud at Pretty Muddy at Strathclyde Park. Despite torrential rain the team tackled the challenging course! Huge thanks for helping to fund lifechanging research 👏👏👏

Fascinating research from Dr Kevin Myant's team funded by Cancer Research UK has discovered bowel cancer cells can mimic skin cells to allow them to spread around the body - hopefully this can help find a way to stop this "shapeshifting" and prevent metastasis when cancer becomes harder to treat!
