#Inktober2026 Finn's First Solo Trip Day 14

It was 3pm when I got into my room. It was roasting, probably because the rooms were right above the kitchen. I took some photos of it for my mom and friends. One friend, T, said a chair facing the bed was the "worst placed cuck chair I've ever seen". I replied "I know! I can't fuck someone's girlfriend in these conditions!" T said "...I was gonna say you can't watch but yeah that too."

Comics is a tough job, with long hours, little pay, and often abusive conditions. Osamu Tezuka's last words were "I'm begging you, let me work".

Even those who "make it" often end up broke, broken, or both. So why bother at all? This panel shows two Kirbyesque beings fighting.

I've got it pretty sweet. I'm not famous, but I draw what I want, when I want, and I get paid to do it! Not much, but still... This panel depicts my penguin self-portrait pulling a fish bone out of a trash can while wearing a Heathcliff hat.

"Success" or "Failure" ain't nothing but what you think they are. Just gotta do it for the love of the game. This panel depicts my penguin self-portrait getting beaned with a brick, a la Krazy Kat.

Some people might not be aware, but it is entirely possible that without Dolly Parton we wouldn’t have had a COVID vaccine. She partly funded Moderna’s research and gave the largest individual contribution to make it all happen. Just gives you an idea of the kind of person she was.
