A very good sequel, packed full of absolutely ridiculous action. The original still has a slight upper hand for me, but this is worth a watch if you at all enjoyed the first one. Some of the stunts are way over the top, far outside of reality, but they are all things you’ve probably never seen before. One IMDb reviewer called this “John Wick meets Looney Tunes” and I think that’s a perfect descriptor.

I am such a huge fan of Andy Weir’s book, it’s genuinely one of my all time best sci-fi books I’ve ever read. I wanted this to be made into a mini series, it would be the perfect way to capture all the detail. When I heard this was going to be a movie, I was excited but nervous. Could they cram all the needed detail into just a few hours? Would they screw it up? His other book, The Martian, made an excellent film transition which did give me hope. Darren Aronofky is so good at making anxiety inducing movies. This give such a sense of overwhelming circumstance and stresses you cannot control. Everything goes off the rails, and you really feel it. I had a lot of fun with this, and really nothing to complain about. Great story, well paced, the characters felt well developed to me, lots of plot twists but also not overly complex for this story. A nice design aspect I enjoyed was that the subtitle text was colored depending on the language spoken. Just a nice little detail I’ve not seen used before!

This is a very impressive piece of filmmaking, and a huge technical achievement as all the Avatar movies have been. Truly incredible visuals, which are totally immersive and you completely forget that huge swaths of this film are 100% created and not shot with real cameras. A lot of this did feel the same as or similar to the previous two movies. Some battle sequences and others did seem like a copy/paste, but for me they still worked. I think they've found a formula that works for them, but they can't just keep repeating this for the other future planned

I had only seen the 1994 version in the past, so it was a really wonderful experience to see this original one. Edmund Glenn portrays probably my favorite depiction of Santa I have seen, he’s so authentic and sweet natured. Reading more about him on set, it seems as if he is exactly the person he is on screen, which is just so heartwarming. Overall an excellent Christmas movie, but not one I’d want to return to as often as something like It’s A Wonderful Life. This is charming and pleasant, but not a largely entertaining or impactful movie.

I love this movie, and it has unfortunately been too many years since I last saw it. I still consider this one of my all time favorites, I tear up no matter how many times I see it. This was the first time (I think) that I’ve watched the colorized version. I was a bit skeptical at first, especially after reading that many involved with the movie were against colorization, but I was pleasantly surprised.
