The name sounds like a 50s romance comic that tried to hop onto the kung-fu craze in the 70s by making their preppy high school girl lead a badass fighter. Only it's an MCU Trish Walker situation; the in-universe comics are based off a real Courtney, who IS a kung-fu badass/former cheerleader IRL.

Still got a bunch of these left over after CCA (I may have printed in excess), so I'll go to my FLCS sometime this week and see if they'd be willing to distribute them for me; I don't even need a profit at this point, I just want people to see it. The rest I'll drop in the neighbourhood mailboxes.

Nevermind that I was also planning on doing an October Art Challenge of some kind, but I'm still um-ing and er-ing over how committed I am to that. A new comic issue? THAT will require dedication; I can't afford to hesitate. Hoo, starting is always the hardest part for my ADHD-riddled brain...

- I would be LESS behind than if I didn't at least TRY to get as much done as possible. This all springs to mind because my commission work is finishing up, finishing the zine got me feeling creative again, AND I may have found a potential printer for physical issues. So maybe I should go for it.

At the beginning of the year, I had hoped to get a total of 6 comic issues done before year's end. So far, I've done 2, not counting the reformatted Showcase issues. If I started up again now, I could manage 2 more, maybe 3 if I go all out. And I'd still be behind on my projected timeline, BUT -

I took a 12 page zine from script to final product in 10 days. By that logic, I can crack a full 24 page comic in 20 days. And I know that logic is sound, because I HAVE done that in the past! Maybe it's time to dive back in. Should probably finish that script first, though...

Eeheeheehee, I always forget how unforgiving #Ironsworn is a game; you can do everything right only for the last roll of an encounter to completely turn all your progress on its head. On the other hand, it's FANTASTIC for narrative tension! #ttrpg

Played the opening scenario of Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion. I'm a little nervous about playing further just yet; the idea of permanent progress in Legacy-style games is a hurdle I need to clear, but the basics seem fun. I think I'll continue properly on Monday when I have a whole day to play.
