You know your server is old when you regularly have to build software from source because it lacks instructions introduced to CPUs over decade ago. It feels like I went years without AVX2 being a problem and now it's just everywhere.

I happily support businesses that provide a way to view their content without advertising, but I'm not helping anyone generate a profile on me so they can show me non stop ads for weight loss drugs and ketamine. It's not healthy for me or the businesses that come to depend on those advertisers.
