always wondered what the effects of tyres being worn down over time would have on the environment, and man, that’s worse than I would have imagined.

it’s not even that hard to chroma key images, they’re just being lazy, which is somehow worse

I’m working on making some real life Minecraft blocks for a video and decided to use chalcopyrite as a raw gold. It’s always shown as iridescent but that’s just the patina. The fresh surface is similar to pyrite and other sulfides. Let’s see how long it takes to change color.

can only go in areas with a light level below 4 iirc, can be planted on any block though it’ll also stay around unless you update it after increasing the light level

A northern cardinal enjoying a juicy snack. #Photography #BirdOfTheDay #Birds

A vibrantly red male northern cardinal is perched on a branch, with numerous other branches snaking around it like tentacles, with a juicy green caterpillar dangling out of its mouth.

A male scissor-tailed flycatcher performs a remarkable courtship sky dance for the female below. For at least 1-2 minutes, he put on quite the display of intricate aerial maneuvers involving twists and dives that even left me in awe. They flew off together, so I think it worked for the lil guy! 🥹

A photo of two scissor-tailed flycatchers. A male is in flight, with its wings outstretched to reveal the pinkish color underneath, over a female looking up at him while resting on a telephone wire. The background is entirely a clear blue sky.

no matter how much time passes, Earth is still our only home #ArtemisII #Earth #Space

A pencil and paper sketch of the newest photos of Earth from the Artemis II crew. Above it is a cartoon-like depiction of the roof of a house with smoke coming from the chimney. Written below is the phrase “Our one and only home”, written in the ten most commonly spoken languages on Earth.

The Artemis II astronauts are on their way to seeing the far side of the Moon! Just 24 people in the history of the human race have seen it with their own eyes.👀 This is what the Moon's far side looks like! It is dominated by Lunar highlands; there are fewer dark areas (maria) due to thicker crust.

A labeled image of the far side of the Moon.

these genuinely are the best gloves I have ever used. Not once did they leave my fingers cold, nor did any moisture seep through them, inside was completely dry! They also are able to be tightened to prevent snow from entering from where you put your hands in. 10/10, perfect for winter activities

true that, it is very easy to learn on your own. although that might not be the case for everyone, as made evident by what were replying to that also reminds me of a Twitter post I saw where a person’s coworker was not aware they could press ctrl + down to automatically select the lowest cell

how was Christmas Day for you all? mine was pretty good, here’s my dinner from that day!

A photo of a dinner table with food. The table is covered with a white tablecloth and is illuminated by candlelight. Off-center of the center of the image is a plate. On the plate, there is mashed potatoes with gravy, stuffing with gravy, asparagus, dark meat from a turkey with gravy on it, and white meat from a turkey with cranberry sauce on it. Next to the plate on the left is a fork, and to the right of the plate is a steak knife. Also to the left of the plate are two differently sized bowls. The larger bowl has a salad that contains lettuce, cucumbers, and red and orange bell peppers. The smaller bowl contains croutons. Visible behind the two bowls is a container of ranch dressing, a container of Himalayan pink salt, and a container of black pepper. To the right of the plate is also a glass of cranberry-cherry juice. Further ahead of the plate on the table is another plate that has asparagus and a pair of tongs, used for serving the asparagus.
