Some things I wish I had known when I was a new writer: Being accepted by traditional publishers has less to do with skill than whether they think they can sell it. Just because publishers aren’t ready for a story doesn’t mean readers aren’t. Writing the book is the easy part. 🧵

Hi all. 💜 I'd like to present the list for the #Juniplex #WritingPrompt. The basic theme is organized forces of FICTIONAL worlds: militaries, adventurer guilds, martial sects... that kind of thing. It's harder to encapsulate than city or supply chain. (Reposts/Quotes Appreciated.) 🧵1/6

A monthly writing prompt list for Juniplex (aka the JunitaryIndustrialComplex), hosted by khonri.com on bluesky, which is a month-long prompt game focused on micro-worldbuilding organized forces (militaries, adventurer guilds, martial sects, etc.)! At the bottom it indicates that participants should "Interpret each prompt as suits your needs! Talk about relevant characters! Yap! Or don't! Develop a new military or guild or whatever or talk about one you've already built. Make friends."

The background is a heavily purple-toned and blurred digital painting of a river flowing through rocky, crystalline formations.

The prompt list is broken into 8 categories:
- Intro: 1. Basic Ideas and Goals, 2. Sources of Conflict and Resolution
- Foundations & History: 3. Creeds and Codes of Conduct, 4. Symbols of Strife, 5. Oppositional Forces, 6. Myths and Legends
- Personnel & Recruitment: 7. Branches and Specialization, 8. Recruitment, 9. Composition, 10. Compensation
- Resources & Quarters: 11. Stardard Equipment, 12. Meals, 13. Living Spaces, 14. Armories and Supplies
- Operations & Logistics: 15. Moving Shit From A to B Correctly, 16. Daily Activities and Basic Duties, 17. Formal Assignments, 18. Communication Methods, 19. Medics and Methods of Healing
- Fame & Glory: 20. People and Families, 21. Places or Vehicles, 22. BFGs and Other WMDs, 23. History-Changing Events
- Culture & Consequences: 24. Propaganda, 25. Technological Advancements, 26. Death and the Next of Kin, 27. Veterans and Mental Health, 28. War Crimes
- Outro: 29. The BLU Collapse, 30. Free Space Day!

This could cover worldbuilding fictional novel and TTRPG settings (or other categories I'm not thinking of).
