This whole affair has seemed like very one-sided story telling, and shaky from the get go, imo. Cedh is HARD and mistakes happen. The reaction since has been extreme. I've played Kai before, and I don't believe there was intentional dishonesty, and have seen no evidence of a pattern of behavior.

Don’t say: “If this resolves…” Ask: “Does it resolve?” Or “I pass priority on my game action” Then pass priority as you should.

Say it with me now: “I will present this loop, do you concede? If so, I will explain how I will end the game — if not, I will continue playing it out.”

I’ve officially moved and now I have the capacity to play magic lol. What’s new in cedh?

Kai @ferventalchemist.bsky.social · 09/10/2025

In the name of mental health do not “play bomb” me when I ask you how your game was. Play bombing is when someone rambles on about the details of the game you’re asking about. I’m just looking for any significant and casual feelings I don’t need to know the details unless I ask.

051

Kai @ferventalchemist.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

You were convinced ‘it’ was “bad” because you don’t understand how to evaluate cards on your own or how decks work. This is why you get politicked into a corner and outplayed so much.

Kai @ferventalchemist.bsky.social · 01/10/2025

The one thing I can’t stand about cedh is how slow information travels and how fast misinformation travels. Fundamental understanding of the game itself and fundamental understanding of trends.

Watching my own videos to relearn a deck is so meta lmao.

Don’t compare your progress to anyone else’s. Just keep forward momentum. One foot in front of the other one step at a time. You got this.

I’ve gone sage mode with magic/cEDH for the last year and a half. What does that mean for me? - Not super hungry for playing and competing. - Spent more time touching grass. - Establishing myself fundamentally as a player. - Made more enemies for exercising healthy beliefs. - Leaving the game

Here’s a list of hot takes for cEDH without context: 1) Cantrips should be played more and should’ve never left. 2) Mox diamond is an optional rock. 3) Stax is viable. You’re not knowledgeable enough to play it. 4) You were influenced to believe midrange hell. It was fake.

Part of my year long campaign to improve the state of cEDH I created a free resource for everyone to get connected worldwide. Chances are, there’s probably a #cEDH meta where you live or where you’re going, you’re just not in it yet! discord.gg/g6BNENxA
