I have watched this happen way too many times this year: a judge directs a DHS agency to bring in somebody to answer questions; DOJ brings somebody who does not know the answers; and lawyers are reduced to pulling teeth from an empty mouth.

Pursuant to the Court's order, the government advised the defendants on March 12, 2026, that it intended to proceed only on the first clause of 18 U.S.C.
§ 372, namely, the force and intimidation prong, and to further eliminate the charge that the defendants conspired to threaten Agent A in preventing him from
discharging his duties. Specifically, the government provided notice to the defendants
that it intends to narrow its proof at trial regarding Count One to the charge that the
remaining defendants:
"Conspired with one another and others, known and unknown, to prevent by force and intimidation, Agent A, a United States law enforcement officer, from discharging the duties of his office."
The government therefore intends to present evidence at trial to prove
the violation of only the foregoing subsection of 18 U.S.C. § 372.

Congress making unrealistic requests about the Epstein files. More than four computers - what is this, a computer factory @repsuhas.bsky.social

Was at the DOJ 3x the past two days looking at the "unredacted" Epstein files:

- the search function didn't actually work
- half the stuff I was looking for was still redacted
- we couldn't write on files we brought in or even use post-it notes, just notes on a legal pad
- we shared four computers for 435 members of Congress
- they were keeping a history of all the files we were viewing

So much for transparency.
