It's Banned Books Week. My fellow librarians, listen carefully: your book displays should be almost exclusively writers who are alive. Yes, I know classic literature is also being banned, but most of those authors are dead. They aren't suffering financially from bans and challenges.

By now, proper ventilation should be a norm. Mandatory masking on public transportation a norm. Yearly boosters a norm. Plenty of sick time and work form home/learn from home options if sick. Universal health care.
