I had flu & Covid jabs on Friday. Bit tired Saturday & arm pretty sore but otherwise not much problem. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I still get often restless legs in the evening but it's just general discomfort & a need to keep shifting them rather than spasms jerking my knee upwards. Probably more annoying for my husband tbh 🤣

I’ve been taking a triple blend if biglycinate, malate & aspartate. Tbh I forget all the details of what each was meant to be good for 🤣 I’ve had the citrate too which similarly helped with muscles but not sleep.

We loved the goodies growing up. It was essential viewing! Just the daftness of it was perfect.

I find it helps muscle spasms but does nothing for my sleep.

Thanks, I'd just clicked on the image & hadn't realised there was more to it. I really should look more thoroughly before commenting!

Do we know where this snippet came from? I'm anti fascist & pro RNLI but I'm wary of accepting everything I see on social media, especially just a bit of text like this. I haven't seen anything in the press about the more extreme examples?

Definitely Christchurch, often used to visit a friend in that building

Could I be taken off please? I retired over 2 years ago & don’t post anything radiotherapy related nowadays. People are welcome to follow me for a bit of pottery though!

Sorry to hearing you’re going through this. It sounds like a big flare & I had similar a few years ago. I’m now so much better & none of it was permanent. Mine was triggered by stress. Don’t rush back to work too quickly, I always used to make that mistake!

Clare Hadley @feltwright.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
That's the difficult bit - any friends at work who could help? Or union rep? I didn't realise at the time how much I needed someone who could be on top of things & help me through it. Line manager was supportive but I needed someone independent really. Good luck with it!

Clare Hadley @feltwright.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
I found the process hard to go through, I was mid-flare so not the best time to deal with everything. In retrospect I really should have asked for more help navigating the whole thing, instead I had to coordinate occy health, pensions, HR etc. Worth seeing if someone can act as an advocate for you.

Sounds like you definitely need a rest! Worth working out all the finances for ill health retirement etc. I was in the NHS & there was compensation for leaving early. Can you move to something more suitable?
210
Clare Hadley @feltwright.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
If you can retire early or at least get into a less stressful role/work pattern then do it! I had to retire early at 59 & it made such a difference to my health.

I had a smart TV that went out of date but the Roku device means I can still use it. Only cost £30 & just plugs into one of the HDMI sockets.

I looked at this a while ago - there’s a replacement service called Freely that you get over broadband, but you have to have a set top box or a tv that receives it. I use a roku device - worth looking at if you don’t have a smart tv. Lets you watch bbc/itv/c4 etc via apps on the tv.

Oh no, sorry to hear that. I only get fairly mild intermittent symptoms from that relapse now but the pain was dreadful at the time, especially at night.

I've found it so useful to be able to talk to other MSers, it makes such a difference

It does sound MSsy. My GP was trying everything including sending me for a biopsy for temporal arteritis. The surgeon dissuaded me from signing the consent form for it & wrote to my GP recommending a referral to neurology. It all went away but finally made sense after my MS diagnosis.

Clare Hadley @feltwright.bsky.social · 18/08/2026
I had similar before diagnosis. First toothache, & earache, then temporal area & side of head. Neck was stiff & sore too. Eventually sent to neuro & dx with occipital neuralgia. Another relapse 2 years later led to MS Dx. Hope yours settles soon.

It should have just been a university matter. If he’d been a more conventional appointment it would never have hit the national headlines. It’s like they were determined to take him down
010
Clare Hadley @feltwright.bsky.social · 14/08/2026
So sad to read this. I hadn’t even heard of him before the recent newspaper stories but whatever the facts of his appointment he should never have been hounded like this.

We jumped & were then just annoyed! I can’t believe people aren’t aware of this. Is this Andy Burnham’s token action on climate change?

6 years next month for me, also Dx mid 50s. Retirement, kesimpta & OMS have helped make life very manageable even tho not quite normal!

I'm looking forward to that bit 🤣 Currently sitting out on the edge of an iron age hill fort waiting for the big event - along with half the local population by the looks of it!

Definitely. It feels like it’s largely preaching to the converted at the moment but it’s being picked up & shown in a lot of different settings. They encourage watching in groups & having discussions afterwards.

Ralph Fiennes in a restaurant in Tuscany when he was filming the English Patient. I knew him when I was at school with his sister in Salisbury so we had a good chat.

On this #MSFriday I've totally ignored advice to rest. I was up early painting my new pottery studio & I even fitted in a quick swim! I may regret this tomorrow....

That was interesting, I came out social democrat, & close to democratic socialist. Not sure what the difference is between those! Economic: collectivist Social: progressive Sovereignty: cosmopolitan Military: centrist Authority: leaning libertarian Constitutional: leaning reformist

There must still be a market for Poole pottery. I haven’t seen that design before - just got my Poole pottery book out & there’s plenty about him in there. Does it still have its presentation box & certificate?

I do like the idea of a spinner's pub tho, can you take your wheel along? Maybe they could invite the weavers in too.

I'm a spinner & I do indeed rest so I'd just go with that!
