Best instrumental hip hop composer ever, aka fat jon, just released a new album today, and it's so amazing. I love him so much. How come he never disappoints?

I have a huge backlog of games to get through spanning ten years and more , I have no problem not buying games from studios doing this and watching them rethink when their profits drop.

He would basically ask younfor a bunch of information, context, probably steam keys so people could play and know how your game works, gather some interested translators, and work on it. And if you want it done asap, then you tell him that, and he sees if it's possible and for how many languages.

If interested, I can connect you with a friend that organizes such jams. He's very much approachable, and will offer you a lot of information on how to do it right. Asking for fans to translate is a huge risk. It isn't as easy as many may think...

While I do agree that you definetly should get professional loc, I understand your financial struggles. May I suggest then you put up a jam? There are a lot of professional localizers (me included) that once or twice a year put up an effort to translate games for free.

Eu to jogando Yakuza: Like a dragon.

I noticed that when your literal rendition differed too much from the original. Very nice work either way. It's always refreshing to see how these old translations dealt creatively with the Japanese source!

Beatifully written. I really loved it! Just one thing, in this sentence "祈り子像の魂は　召喚士の祈りにまねかれて姿を現す" - it should be "祈り子様" as per the print in the article :) Thank you very much for sharing it!

The lore terminology in Final Fantasy X is one of the main reasons why I adore its English translation. In April's blog, I decided to showcase some of my favourites, delving into the wonderful words that built the world of Spira. annacairistiona.wordpress.com/2026/04/28/t...

Which is very weird, since I know that Suikoden II og was translated by Jeremy Blaustein and some people he hired, since it was a big job for him alone. He even talks about it in interviews, and lists it in his portfolio.
