Why is it whenever Ireland is mentioned in any form in the US it always reverts back to an alcohol stereotype in some way. Oh Ireland is mentioned better work in an alcohol reference in some way.🙄

Podcasts chuds and radio shock jocks who glorified AI and said it was coming for your jobs feeling a little uneasy when they realise AI is making podcasts now .

This is the most money hungry bullshit I have ever seen from the EU that again does not give two shits about people who don't live in populated areas. And once again the environment will probably be used as an excuse while they give tax cuts to their buddies building data centres.

I never understood the retroactively trying to remove the morally grey area from Star Wars, the Empire forcibly enlisted civilians to do the dirty work and slaves so having them working on the Death Star is not that much of a stretch ,but you NEED to have to good guys infallible when blowing it up

Benicio del Toro actually had the most interesting character in those movies by far , going into war profiteering and whoever wins or loses it never matters to those outside the fighting left trying to pick up the pieces . But they went nowhere with him. #StarWars

I swear the detectors of NW could have the most Star Trekkie #StarTrek episodes put in front of them but they are so dead set on disliking this show they would still find any miniscule thing not to like it ,

This week episode of Strange New Worlds maybe my favorite episode of the show overall and in my top favorite episodes of #StarTrek of all time it was so amazing . It makes me all the more saddened we will never get Year One.

Things were so much simpler when we thought this would be the AI driven future hellscape.

Do you think A'Sha had a lot of wasted potential in #StarTrek SNW? It felt like when she was introduced she would play a larger role in the show and flesh out the character but she had very few episodes and in those felt more like a cameo or guest appearance, then decided to leave out of the blue .

It's amazing how years ago people thought a four hour movie was insanely too long but today binge culture is a thing and going through four or five episodes of 40 to 45 min long shows in one sitting is no big deal.

More animated #StarTrek is always a good thing you can do so much more than what you can do in live action. Just think how many new stories or from the expanded lore could be adapted and bring back so many characters .

One of the few problems I have with SNW is the amount of time spent on Spocks on off up down side to side love life. #StarTrek

Has anyone received their Voyager MSD from Master replicas yet , I received an email over a month ago saying they were waiting for a delivery to their warehouse and nothing since and now it doesn’t seem to be available on the site itself ? #StarTrek

Imagine the Farragut is in a life and death situation and they are in desperate need of a shuttle to save the day but "aww shucks sorry captain Jim took it to visit the Enterprise again " 🤣 #StarTrek

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't M'Benga in hot water after last week's episode for drugging an admiral and excuse from duty? But he is here like nothing happened, was the episode moved around or they just forgot?? #StarTrek

5111

Phil Murphy @crashtesterx.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Well that looked like a very............expensive episode of #StarTrek Strange New Worlds. Do you think the captain and crew of the Farragut ever asks where its first officer is ?

I'm sure there will be C. S. Lewis scholars popping when this comes out saying this is exactly what he had in mind when writing the books and that the setting or descriptions don't really matter in the larger scheme of things just like another beloved fantasy epic.

WWII is not just a backdrop for the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe it plays a pivotal role in the lives of the children.

1110

Phil Murphy @crashtesterx.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

😬😬😬 I was already apprehensive when they moved up the timeline , WWII plays a major role in the books so setting the Magicians Nephew in 50s which means The Lion the With and the Wardrobe would be set in the 90s early 00s. But this ...no ...just no.

The Final Fantasy VII R trilogy will never have a fraction of the lasting power of the original. It never gained its own identity only borrowed popular elements from other games and media mixing it in to a bloated hodgepodge of dated gameplay and narrative tropes.

There is no problem with the day night cycle it's the forced timing mechanic that's based around a boring mission while the side missions you have to rush through are far more interesting.

Phil Murphy @crashtesterx.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I guarantee this show will be looked back on fondly in years to come just like #StarTrek Enterprise and folks will say it ended when it was starting to really get good.

#StarTrek Questions. Should the Federation have moved the Ba'ku ? And was Picard a hypocrite in this movie ?

A really great badmiral episode of #StarTrek SNW this week really harkening back to episodes like The Wounded and Court Martial that show how far Starfleet goes to hide away problematic captains.

Can you imagine the sheer fucking audacity to show up to a country on the tax payers money spend literally five minutes going through the motions of a political visit to then just fuck off and watch a golf game , imagine any other president or political figure doing that.

5292

Phil Murphy @crashtesterx.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I want to see a price tag at the end of this for a country that claims it can't afford to take care of its homeless and build housing for this and future generations.

The problem that I can see with the Wolverine game is the downgrade moving from a character like Spider-Man with the freedom of movement in a huge sandbox and a rogues gallery to back that up to a character that's just slashy slashy against characters that's just slashy slashy or shooty shooty.
