Our downstairs was only 62 degrees last night, so I made an enclosure for Gerard out of a bin that slides under the bed and placed it on the heated floor of our kitchen. Apparently he’s a climber, and I finally found him in the corner of the adjoining den, hiding in the curtains. Poor #hedgehog!

My hedgehog is named Gerard Way after the lead singer of My Chemical Romance because the black circles around his eyes make him look a little emo. Plus, Way sometimes has white hair and sometimes black, sort of like my boy’s cute mismatched ears. The resemblance is uncanny. #hedgehog #GerardWay

After over 15 years of dealing with #dysautonomia and #pots with no help from doctors, I was so excited to be accepted into the program at Mayo. Except now, after running tests with them, they say I don’t show signs of either. So where does this leave me?! Other than so frustrated . . .

I just volunteered to be part of a clinical trial studying Ehlers-Danlos. I have to donate a vial of blood, which is hard to obtain when you have rubbery veins. When DOGE inevitably cuts the funding for this research, I’m going to be extra pissed off. #EDS #ChronicIllness

My husband is having surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. We are staying at a really nice resort, but it is so MAGA. Women with bleached hair and lip fillers with dumpy husbands puffing on cigars. At dinner, the man at the table next to us was SO rude to the waiter, manager, chef, etc.

We just happened to arrive in Rome the night before the Pope passed away. Fortunately, we were still able to visit St. Peter’s Basilica, although it was quite crowded. Hundreds of thousands of chairs were being set outside for visitors since his body will be placed on display inside tomorrow.
