"Sixteen-year-old Berkley Wuttunee, right, has been watching the PWHL since it started in 2024. She says she's excited to watch her favourite player Marie-Philip Poulin on Dec. 5 on Hockey Night in Canada." I guess young Berkley hasn't heard the news about Poulin. She'll be heartbroken.

With the new playoff format, eight PWHL teams will qualify for the playoffs this season, four from each conference. For the Western Conference, that means that at least three teams will be in the playoffs for the first time. It could be four if the Frost somehow fail to qualify. Who makes it in?

PWHL Western Conference teams: Detroit; Las Vegas; Minnesota Frost; Seattle Torrent; San Jose; Vancouver Goldeneyes

Not following the logic on that. TSN owns the song and is using it for its brand. They don't want to dilute it.

TSN has been using it for regional broadcasts ever since they bought it. There's no chance in H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks that TSN will license it to another network.

You may not know the name Albertine Lapensée, but she was the first superstar of women's hockey in Canada. In her late-teens, she dominated the sport before abruptly quitting and disappearing from history when she was 20. This is her story. 📸 Montreal Star 🧵 1/10

I read all the Peter Puck books in my school library when I was a kid. He was a popular character on Hockey Night in Canada. I wonder if Professor Puck will make any appearances on the HNIC PWHL games.

Possibly an authentic replica of a Vancouver Goldeneyes jersey.

Forget the stadium parking lot. More Americans now say they'd rather “homegate,” and comfort is a big reason why. f-st.co/1MjalH1

Tailgating is losing ground to a new game-day tradition

A survey finds more fans prefer celebrating at home, with comfort emerging as the biggest reason.

End of the Valkyries-Wings game. Crowd erupts. Valkyries advance to the semis in their second season. Wings eliminated. Watch Paige and Alysha. This is essence of the WNBA. Fierce competitors, but a sisterhood too.

Final score was 9-7. It's going to be a wild adventure in net for the Oilers, this season. Can Freddie Andersen be the answer once he returns from injury?

I wonder if the two pre-season games for each team counts as a 32 game schedule.

000

Fantasy Sports Spot 🇨🇦 @fantasysportsspot.net · 02/10/2026

I'm surprised that the PWHL did not opt to go to a 32 game schedule, given that each team will play four Takeover Tour games, which means two fewer games at home.
