Nope, there's no reason you should be carefully reading and understanding walls of text when you have tools to summarize and review for you.

Astro is our preferred front-end platform
We’ve tried every combination of front-end platform and back-end integration you can think of over the years, but nothing has been as consistently excellent than Astro for us.

I'm going to be launching something pretty big next week, which just happens to include a new atproto AppView, labeler, blob proxy, lexicons. It will have tens of thousands of users, most of whom won't even know they're using atproto, or have even heard of it.

It's not about any particular feature, it's more about why abandon 40+ years of word processor innovation for a shittier word processor. People act like word processors are complicated but it's just some xml files in a zip.

Live fields is the only thing I can think of that can't be translated.

Matthew Phillips @fancypenguin.party · 11/09/2026
You can just not use features that don't translate to HTML. Not even sure what those things are, but are niche.
100
Matthew Phillips @fancypenguin.party · 11/09/2026
Yeah but why should I use them and not a word processor. Markdown editors don't have comments. Why use a lesser thing.

Books are written in word, not markdown. I don't know why writing a short article shouldn't involve basic niceties.

Matthew Phillips @fancypenguin.party · 11/09/2026
Why don't most of us author blog posts as word document (like .odt) files? Why do people prefer markdown? I don't get it.

That's how you'll create a **JavaScript** plugin with @biomejs.dev Coming soon...
The code needed to create a JavaScript plugin in Biome

import { ast, defineRule, registerDiagnostic } from "@biomejs/runtime/plugin";
export const useMyPlugin = defineRule({
	query: ast("JS_MODULE"),
	run(root) {
		registerDiagnostic(root, "information", "Hello, world!");

Today niri became 3 years old! 🎉 I implemented and merged animations for windows moving between workspaces. This was the last *major* missing anim. Took so long because it's tricky with Z ordering (moving windows must be on top of everything), clipping, and syncing 3 different animations. #niri

Replies are the only thing that matters on a *social* network. Without replies it's a microblog. This is the only thing that Bluesky should be focusing on. Stop promoting AT. Stop all other projects. Stop fixing bugs. Focus only on things that lead to replies.

I didn't imply anything. The question was not loaded. AI systems having a moral status is a widely debated topic. Some prominent AI researchers consider them near-conscious today. I don't agree with them, but it's a reasonable view some have.
