The American insurance system is not set up to handle multiple (unnecessary!) visits for vaccines that are now given at the same time. The schedules of American pediatricians and public health clinics are not set up to handle this. The schedules of American parents are not set up to handle this.

States have the authority to create and enforce childhood vaccine requirements. The federal government does not. If this EO were to be executed, it would require 3 times as many trips to the doctor’s office for parents to get their kids vaccinated, further undermining vaccine coverage.

Something else that we don't talk enough about is the "what can you do about it." In addition to getting vaccinated yourself (and vaccinating your kids if you have kids) you can push for policies that require kids attending public school be vaccinated. /3
