Getting multiple auto rejections within 15 minutes of each other is such a vibe killer 😭

Nyla (Faltira) @faltira.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

I don't know how I supposed to continue to be creative and spend hundreds of hours on personal projects when all I get are auto rejections or silence. This is so difficult.

2026 limited color pet portrait commission

In a low ceiling cellar shop, a cat sits along the stores counter on a large pillow. Next to him are scales, various alchemical ingredients, bubbling cauldrons, and a discarded pile of fish heads and skeletons in a basket. The proprietors paws are folded, and his expression suggests he thinks himself superior to the viewer.

2026 limited color anniversary portrait commission

On a rooftop, a woman peers over a large telescope she embraces, to look down at the viewer and her frightened cat. Behind her stars swirl and fall. At her feet are horror game/manga figurines, headphones, tankobon, and a piece of music notation. On the same serving cart as the cat, sits a meal of snails and wine.

2026 full color illustration memorial commission

A long haired tortoiseshell in a blue tunic crosses the threshold into a cave teaming with jewels, fossils, and plant life. Behind her is a canyon and village. She slings on a pack and her eyes linger upward, lantern full and bright.

2026 full color fantasy pet portrait

In a ruined tower overcome with plant growth, two cats wrap a rope around the neck of a roc. On the landing of a spiral staircase, one plucks out a song on her harp and sings, while the other works carefully to secure the bird.

A big and a small yellow robots holfing each other's hand in a rusty junkyard.

An astronaut in an heavily armored red spacesuit, in the distance there is a strange gigantic device.

Zara Alfonso Illustration @zaraalfonso.bsky.social · 14/04/2026

Hi #portfolioday I'm Zara, a Canadian artist working mainly on Magic: The gathering and painting for myself in my free time 🖤

“Stasis” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso, and is the first piece in her series about invisible illness. A portrait painting of a girl with skin so pale she’s almost translucent, her lips are tinged blue and she gazes upward through seemingly unseeing eyes. Pale moths and winged insects cover the expanse of her face and body, blending into her skin in places.

“Medusa Portrait” is a portrait painted by the artist Zara Alfonso. A portrait of a young Medusa who looks peacefully towards the viewer, her hair is flowing mass of thick iridescent dark indigo snakes tied up in a head wrap.

"Winternight Stories” is an oil painting by the artist Zara Alfonso, done for the Magic: The Gathering Tarkir: Dragonstorm. An orc stands in the middle of a small crowd, telling a story of the battle against dragons with a swirl of watery blue magic.

Zara Alfonso's oil painting of the official card illustration for “Dualcaster Mage” for Magic: The Gathering Secrets of Strixhaven Special Guests.

Digital illustration of a The Lord OF The Rings cover. A Nazgûl sits astride its horse between 2 red trees that make a circle. Int he background is Weathertop, the Misty Mountains and Orodruin. Overlapping risk colours - red, teal and yellow. Some mushrooms in the foreground.

Illustration of a WWI French soldier in a field of tall grass. He has a prosthetic arm and mask on, and is ablaze too. The weather is foggy and behind him lies church ruins. The tones are blue and orange

Illustration depicting a terrifyingly skinny woman with long silver hair parted towards the front. The illustration depicts her from behind. She's missing an arm and has a damaged prothestic limb as replacement. She's holding a cutter pointed towards a bright red square in the centre of her spine

Digital illustration of a young woman with long, silver hair and wooden antlers, poking out of her skull and eye sockets. In between her open hands, and all over her face, red rot is crawling reminiscent of guts
He's wearing a thick jumper with "Sarajevo 1984" in reference to the 1984 Sarajevo olympics

Digital illustration of a young woman with long, straight white hair wearing a traditional czech crown. She's standing by a foggy lakeside with a black hole behind her. She's snucking her face into the collar of her pastel wind jacket

a digital illustration of Zagreus and Chaos from Hades (Game). Zagreus is floating above Chaos' outstretched hand in the middle of ruins. He's reaching one hand up towards a boon symbol of Chaos. Chaos' face looms big in the background. The entire picture is accentuated with purple details

Tarot card illustration of Zethino, a dryad from Baldur's Gate 3, representing the Ace of Cups card. Zethino is standing in a lake, holding a cup with 5 streams of water falling out of it, she's facing forward, eyes closed, reminiscing, she's surrounded by water lillies, a tree behind to the left and a waterfall behind her. A stylized white dove is directly above the chalice. The atmosphere is calm, serene, introspective. Zethino has red hair nicely parted in the middle, a big headpiece with leaves and antlers, pale green skin with glowing vines and her outfit is a dress made out of leaves and vines.

A study of J. C. Leyendecker's "Man and Woman Dancing" featuring Chiara and Lucanis. Chiara has her back turned to us, her expression is sultry, a small smirk escaping her lips. She's wearing a light blue silky dress with sheer sleeves falling over her shoulders, pearl necklace and silver bracelets and (engagement??) ring. Her hair is blue, held in an updo. Lucanis is wearing a traditional black tuxedo that is fully blended with the black background, one hand on the small of her back, the other in front. They are dancing.

Portrait of Nyx from Hades (Supergiant Games) Portrait of a regal looking pale woman, her waist-length hair is elaborately fashioned with a braid on either side and a high bun held up in part by a golden crown. Her hair also flares to either side in the shape of a pair of bird-like wings, and the stars of the night sky can be seen on the undersides of these "wings." She is wearing robes with crescent moon shaped pauldrons. Her chest, forehead and earrings are decorated with tear shaped gemstones. There's 3 skill shapes on her chest, the middle one is holding the mentioned tear shaped gem. Her eyes are closed, her expression calm. The illustration is in black and white with purple and gold accents.
