When Gabriel Nowak’s estranged great-aunt leaves him a lakeside bookstore-slash-tourist trap in her will, it’s the opportunity he’s always been waiting for to start fresh, and be the man he was always meant to have been.

But his new neighbor, the ridiculously hot Dr. Phineas Bain, MD, PhD, etc., is hardly welcoming. In fact, he’s downright hostile. Gabriel is prepared to weather it, when he accidentally discovers Phineas’ secret after the man saves his life from an otherworldly assassin.

He’s an exiled fae prince.

It should be a dream come true for Gabriel. Fairies are real. But Phineas is no prince charming, and the Fae are nothing like the books his childhood promised. And as the world he’s now a part of becomes more and more dangerous, and his reliance on Phineas starts to chafe, Gabriel must make a choice.

Stay in Michigan, a normal bookseller, and wipe his memory of everything non-human? Or choose magic — and Phineas?

Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying
Use of artificial intelligence
By registering with ISBN Canada, you declare that your book was created by a human author. You may use AI tools only for limited support tasks, such as brainstorming ideas, checking grammar, or formatting your book. You must not use AI to generate the text, create the artwork, or translate the book. ISBN Canada does not issue ISBNs for works whose content is primarily generated by AI. LAC is currently reviewing its policy regarding the use of AI content creation and our guidance is subject to change.

Trump wanted to jam more hens into smaller spaces - making it harder for inspectors to access them - and making living conditions for egg laying hens worse. All so businesses could sell cheaper eggs.

no man is an #island unto himself; and all the world's a stage, or so they say, men and women merely players. so in this soliloquy, solipsistic we build bridges of words and scream across the screen to find someone real #vss365 #poetrysky

I was in one of these recently and it was no big deal. I'm still a closed loop individual of individual sapience. There's definitely no humming of the collective mycelium spirit in the back of my mind. Don't worry about these

Hi #queerwriters! I’m working on a new WIP this week, so my goal is to get a rough outline finished, and maybe start the first chapter.

Is dark romantasy a thing? Horromantasy? I hope so, 'cause I think that's what I'm writing.
