see. this. this right here is why a project car is so fantastic. I didn't splurge on my exhaust, got something that's actually quite affordable, but today I'm surprised by a new charge to get it to fit because the 350Z diff I got was in the way 🙃🙃🙃 SO FUN 😭😭😭 can this car please just be finished
An invoice that shows an HKS 95-98 240sx Sport Cat-Back Exhaust for $596.90 and then just above it is Modification of Exhaust to Clear VQ Diffrential and Axles (Cut Axle Back and Weld in x2 3" 2 Bolt Flanges & 2 Exhaust Hangers) which costs $875.

I prefer the chase view and also the rally setting, so Rally Edge was an instant buy from me and then I got actually pretty good at it lol. I don't play it as much these days but I'll jump on sometimes and do the weekly events.

I was interested to see what Kelling dark skies would mean for the quality of images from the Seestar S50 having previously only used it in Bortle 7 Chelmsford. Pacman nebula, Cygnus wall and Iris nebula 1.5 to 2 hours integration time. Think it did a good job. 🙂 #astronomy #astrophotography

I think it's been about 2 years since I stopped reading the news or scrolling social media and I'm still doing it because, well, it's keeping me sane. it's probably hilarious how little I know about the world right now. I mainly get news from Gamers Nexus tbh 🤣🤣🤣

morning run was about 50% more than what I normally do. had some nice weather so I took advantage (also because it's supposed to be gross hot a couple of days coming up soon and I'm not running those days) I've done 4+ miles before but I'm actually not sure if I've done this much before (~7.7km?)
A screenshot of my running app showing a 4.6 mile run in 41 minutes and 4 seconds with an average pace of 8 minutes and 56 seconds per mile, and 601 calories burned.

new engine would go in, like, 10 years from now though, so that's really long term. but it's something I want to work on slowly over 10 years, possibly even learn to do it myself. I'm not super mechanical, but when we buy a house then I might have dedicated space for that sort of thing.
010
Justin 👻🏴‍☠️ @fakeghostpirate.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
long term plan is to get a half cage in the back (rear seats already deleted) and then start working on a new VQ to swap in. the new one I want to stroke to 4.2, get cams, and try to get as close to 400hp naturally aspirated as possible. I don't think it'll ever be boosted tbh.

Justin 👻🏴‍☠️ @fakeghostpirate.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
first things to do once it's on the road is to get it dipped black (I can't afford paint right now, so dip for a couple of years), get bronze window tint, and then get a semi-cheap sound system so I can listen to music while I drive.
100
Justin 👻🏴‍☠️ @fakeghostpirate.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
and then because it's just Z stuff underneath whenever something does go wrong it should be cheap to replace now that the swap is done. everyone still hates VQs lol, it's like the modern KA. not many VQ swapped S chassis out there yet.

if I've done my job right picking parts then it should be a very easy to drive and very responsive and balanced car. like 300hp in a car that's less than 3000lb, and zero driver aids. 6 speed and long gears, plus can run E85, so it should actually be cheap to run as well.

assuming we're on schedule, I'm less than 3 months from my 240SX being driveable it's been 3 years since I dropped it off for the restoration and it's been 23 years since I last drove it I am stupid excited for this

🧵(1/2) M1 or The Crab Nebula a bright supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula located about 6,500 light-years away in the constellation Taurus. Taken on 26-10-09 from my backyard 🔭 William Optics Pleiades 111 📷 QHY Mini8 Exposure: 2:00 hours #Astrophotography #Space #DeepSpace #Astronomy
The Crab Nebula (catalogue designations M1, NGC 1952, Taurus A) is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula in the constellation of Taurus. The common name comes from a drawing that somewhat resembled a crab with arms produced by William Parsons, 3rd Earl of Rosse, in 1842 or 1843 using a 36-inch (91 cm) telescope.[6] The nebula was discovered by English astronomer John Bevis in 1731. It corresponds with a bright supernova observed in AD 1054 by Native American, Japanese, and Arab stargazers;[7] this supernova was also recorded by Chinese astronomers as a guest star. The nebula was the first astronomical object identified that corresponds with a historically-observed supernova explosion.[8]

At an apparent magnitude of 8.4, comparable to that of Saturn's moon Titan, it is not visible to the naked eye but can be made out using binoculars under favourable conditions. The nebula lies in the Perseus Arm of the Milky Way galaxy, at a distance of about 2.0 kiloparsecs (6,500 ly) from Earth. It has a diameter of 3.4 parsecs (11 ly), corresponding to an apparent diameter of some 7 arcminutes, and is expanding at a rate of about 1,500 kilometres per second (930 mi/s), or 0.5% of the speed of light.

we got some "Cornbread Stuffing" flavored potato chips recently and my partner tried it for the first time as I was trying it and she said "you'll probably have to finish these" and didn't eat them, but the flavor grew on her and she's almost finished the huge bag now without any help from me 🤣

Abraham's Boys was good, with great performances especially from all the actors, but in the end we were kinda let down by the fact that (SPOILER) there's just no vampires in the movie. I noticed there were none in the trailer, so was sorta prepared for that, but still a bit of a bummer.

Night Patrol had some amazing qualities but they were mostly overwhelmed by the discomfort I felt from hearing racial slurs constantly in the movie. also EXTREMELY cool ending with VERY awesome armor/powers that should've been in the movie about 30 minutes earlier.

Nebulae in another galaxy! This is my first new image for a while. I decided to buy a Wanderer electronic tilt adjuster to make it easier when swapping telescopes, so was keen to try it out. With the Small Magellanic Cloud rising higher, I captured NGC 346, NGC 371, & surrounds. 🔭 #astrophotography
Nebulae in the Small Magellanic Cloud. At bottom centre is NGC346, shining brightly in blue (OIII) and white and appearing to fan out upwards. Above & to the right is the smaller brain-like (but still blue) NGC371. Surrounding them are many blobs of Ha (red). 8 hours of exposure with a Skywatcher MN190, ZWO 2600mc & Antlia ALP-T dual-band filter in Bortle 8 skies..

I like the Type 01, I think it looks great and is much more in line with the type of cool shit that Jaguar should be making. I will never be able to afford one, ever, so my opinion is completely useless, but I hope other people buy it so I can see it on the road instead of gross SUVs.
