This is NGC 6934, a small globular cluster in the constellation Delphinus. There was a lot of moon last night, so I wanted to stick with something that I thought had a chance of holding up under all that light. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

An extremely wide view of the sky this morning. On the left is Castor, Pollux, and Mars, all in a line. Under that, near the lower left corner, Jupiter shines brightly. And of course, that's Orion on the right. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

Right in the center of the frame is the globular cluster NGC 7006 in the constellation Delphinus. Its relative size is so small that it could be easily taken for a star unless you zoom in. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

The small (from here) globular cluster M30 in Capricornus. It doesn't get much over 30° above the horizon at my latitude, which doesn't help for clarity. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

The galaxy NGC 7479 in Pegasus, which is right on the cusp of being too small for my equipment. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

M45, the Pleiades. I usually like to take this at a shorter focal length so that I can frame all of it. Right now I'm trying to stick with the same equipment from night to night. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is Pickering's Triangle, a fairly faint bit of nebulosity that sits between the Eastern and Western Veils. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

I've also spent two nights working on M33, the Triangulum Galaxy. I wanted about 10 hours of it, but I ended up with a little less than 8 due to intermittent clouds. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

I added another 3 hours to this last night and processed it again, considering only the core of the galaxy and bringing out the supernova. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is a cropped version of the NGC 7331 image, just barely showing the supernova. At this focal length, it's pretty faint. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

I was able to add another 3 hours to this (NGC 7331 and Stephan's Quintet) last night, and I reprocessed it. I like this version better, if only because you can zoom in and make out the star in the center of the galaxy. The center is not as blown out. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

The big galaxy here is NGC 7331, with several much smaller companion galaxies floating above it. Or appearing to, anyway. The galaxy cluster in the lower left is Stephan's Quintet. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

The full moon setting when we got up this morning. It was awfully nice of the clouds to clear out during the eclipse.

A not entirely successful (it's awfully noisy) image of the comet 10P/Tempel. It's pretty close to the horizon, which is not ideal. I was shooting at a very short focal length, thinking I'd leave room for a tail The joke was on me. I couldn't even bring out a tail. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is the globular cluster M15 in the constellation Pegasus. I was only able to get a little over an hour before the fog came in. I would definitely work on this more if I could get another clear night, but it remains to be seen whether I will. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is five hours of the Eastern Veil Nebula in Cygnus. I wanted a lot more time to work on it. If I get any more, I'll redo this. But it's not looking good. It's looking like clouds and fog. #Astronomy #Astrophotography

This is M57, a little planetary nebula in Lyra. I shot it under a full moon as an experiment to see how the nebula would do with a narrowband filter. See what I can get away with doing in moonlight. #Astronomy #AstroPhotography

This is M102, the spindle galaxy, in Draco. I'm not all that happy with the way it turned out. It's just too small for the equipment. I had to crop it to the point where it pixelates if you try to look too closely. But I didn't want to waste three nights of data. #Astronomy #Astrophotography
