I've been getting into retro colognes recently, which started when I got a bottle of Halston Z14, which is a scent from the 70s that my dad used to wear when I was a kid in the 90s. then I got a bottle of Ferrari Black, which I used to wear as a teenager, same with Cool Water which is coming today.

I thought I'd never be able to capture this faint #astrophotography target but then I discovered the wonderful world of Newtonian scopes 🙂. This is the Bat (SH2-129) and Squid #nebula (OU-4) after 20h of integration time, shot from my backyard. What do you see @kat-astro-bot.bsky.social ?

I'm generally not a huge fan of fitness as entertainment but holy shit I absolutely love Physical 100. they have new spinoffs in Italy and Mexico and we checked out the first episode of the Mexico season and it's super fun. I promise it's a fun show even if you're not into fitness.

lovely VIP LS400 that I spotted this morning

$A two-tone Lexus LS400 that I think might be from the late 90s, with gold on top and grey on bottom, chrome door handles, chrome B pillar, and huge chrome wheels. It's also slammed down very low with no visible tire at the top of the rear wheels, and only a fraction of an inch showing at the top of the front tires. The car is stopped at a red light on a sunny morning with clear blue skies above and dappled shade from the tall, old-growth trees.$

after starting my new full time job I'm officially working 4 jobs now. 1 full time, 2 paid part time (~4 hours per week each), and one unpaid part time (~5 hours per week). one of the part time jobs is seasonal though, so this will drop down to 3 jobs by February. time to pay off credit cards!

for the last 20 hours I've been thinking about how getting this job would lift one of the biggest burdens I've ever felt in my life. being unemployed when my dog Lexie was sick was definitely a bigger burden, but that was for a shorter period of time at least (4 months vs 8 months).

A not entirely successful (it's awfully noisy) image of the comet 10P/Tempel. It's pretty close to the horizon, which is not ideal. I was shooting at a very short focal length, thinking I'd leave room for a tail The joke was on me. I couldn't even bring out a tail. #Astronomy #Astrophotography
