After playing Mixtape it feels that people who think it should've been a movie/animation don't know what movies or games are. It's a 100% vibes game, it tries to capture the emotions and share the experience and it's very tactile because of it. Couldn't have been anything else.

Yet another gem from inkle - this time it's a puzzle game that feels like the breed of Return to the Obra Dinn and Her Story with a distinct style and feel, exactly what I needed. Short, immersive, full of surprises, with great voice acting - it’s amazing, really, give it a spin.

The next game includes a kinda first bash at a "theatre"-system: there are two characters, each with threads of conversation they follow - one is the player, one an NPC, and each can reply to the other. So we have two conversations running, overlapping, with the balance tipping both ways as it goes

Looking at how pretty it is in Expedition 33, I’m now absolutely sure that FF7: Rebirth should’ve embraced the overworld map – after all it was the same in the original game. Instead of going “openworld with mindless routine activities” route.

So Expelled! is out! I started it right after Overboard!, thinking - this'll be quick. It wasn't. I gave up, twice, before knuckling down in Jan '24. By June I had something up and running, enough for 60+ testers to kick into shape. But the idea for a boarding school game came from my aunt. 🧵
