I've played VS and Loop Hero in search of this smart feeling you get from other "macro-decision" games (TRPGs, RTS, puzzle...). To my understanding you can get this feeling but I never reached it despite having "won". So maybe I lost and it's super deep and I havn't understand it but I doubt it :s

Now maybe there are levels where you'll have to tend towards a specific build to win. Maybe you can have fun discovering build variety and re-learn it through different characters. But to me its all a blur. There are no direction for my brain to grasp.

Good article, let's go harder. Lack of micro-decisions sure but where's the macro ? Having to think once every 3minutes about "Multiply big numbers or add small numbers" ? Would be fun if the game's progression design was imperfect but it's not. Every build is fine. Just stick with it 'til the end.
