From 14 December 2025, all European rail operators will apply one common standard definition for what constitutes a “regular, assembled bicycle” on international train services. This means that any restrictions based on size or weight will disappear. www.ecf.com/en/news/euro...

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced. Safe bike-lanes mean business.

Never forget, for many years #Uber insisted loudly that it would reduce traffic in cities. Instead, Uber drivers cruise without passengers 40% of the time. Uber and Lyft no longer claim they reduce traffic. They now admit they increase congestion. So much for “making cities better…” Via @wsj.com

In Bordeaux, car parking will get 30% more expensive for ICE cars in excess of 1.6 tons; 1.9 tons for hybrid/electric cars. Environmental and road safety reasons are among the reasons stated to introduce the surcharge. If you ask me, other cities should follow suit! www.bordeaux.fr/p158358/stat...
