Global investment in clean energy tech manufacturing is falling despite growing demand. The drop is driven mainly by China (overcapacity) and policy decisions in the US (rollback of subsidies). European investment remains comparatively stable, though EV investment has slowed.

With NATO's article 5 (and NATO itself) now in doubt, the EU is trying to shore up its own mutual defence clause: Article 42.7. It is a vaguely defined provision of the 2009 Lisbon Treaty - purposefully so. 🇬🇧🇵🇱 and others insisted on diluting it so as not to undermine NATO (more on that in my book).

The most predictable outcome of the Trump's hostility to immigrants is mass outsourcing of those jobs from the United States. This is another example of damage being done to the economy which will be hard to reverse in a few years when people finally figure out how badly Trump screwed things up.

Gold has performed about as well as Nvidia over the past year. This is the most glaring sign of people financially preparing for the U.S. economy taking several hits from the AI bubble popping to the negative effects of tariffs and reduced foreign investment & tourism.
