This is CAPTAIN ZILOG! #1 from 1979, a promotional comic for some computer system or whatever. The "penciling" is credited to Joe Kubert, but whatever he brought to it was clearly overwhelmed by the other credited "designer and illustrator."

Cover to CAPTAIN ZILOG! #1, with a super character in a blue and red outfit clashing with a fella in a green and red outfit.

Two interior pages from CAPTAIN ZILOG! #1, showing, among other things, a bad guy pontificating, and a row of those guys from the cover in the green and red outfits.

It's my birthday and I have to wonder how I was ever this cute.

A collage of four baby photos including one Halloween one where I'm dressed as a clown in front of a pumpkin carved to look like Ernie from Sesame Street

I did a time lapse of the first day of snowfall in my back yard. It was boring so I sped it up and reversed it so it looks like the world is breathing.

Finally got to use the snow blower I bought in 2022. It's been acting as a talisman to ward off snow until now. Took me 40 minutes to get the drive cleared enough to leave. Hardest part was wrangling the extension cord.

A collage showing the box, the fresh snow, a single line cut through the snow, and the cleared driveway.

Legitimate questions: if I wanted to commission plushes of Gonzo and Animal that matched the 1987 McDonald's Muppet Christmas ones, where would I start? Who can/would do it? How much would it cost? Has anyone else done this?

girl, the hero who screwed up and was short
after the wreck of villain city rule
he would go to his house and kiss that wife

So a good buddy of mine went on Facebook Marketplace and got me a Christmas gift I never expected. #pogs

The frankly too large box to POG The Game

Inside the box is an absurd POG battle arena and mat.

Piles of "Slammers" which are anything not made of cardboard I guess.

Can't sleep. The guest bed at my mom's house is the stiffest in the world. I'm turning 38 in ~20 days and my body hurts after 10 minutes in any position there. This aging body is just not built for this.

Something that should be a Christmas classic that I never hear anyone talk about is Mrs Santa Claus from 1996. It's an Angela Lansbury musical where she leaves Santa because he doesn't respect her.

If the #Superman trailer makes you want to read some comics, you should give a shot to the tpb with stories that inspired the 90s TV show. You can get it dirt cheap these days.

An odd intro to Mickey's Christmas Carol I found on a VHS tape. It tries to contextualize it as friends getting together to tell the story, but also makes Mickey sound so conceited for calling it that.

Thinking about Mackie's last issue of Spider-Man and how it ends with "Sunrise. If you asked me 24 hours ago where I'd be in my life right now..." which look I know what you're going for but a sunrise is a terrible metaphor for unpredictability, especially in 24 hour cycles. #Spider-Man
