Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

This is one of the reasons I am pushing for Dec 9th, the day we eradicated Smallpox, to be recognized as a holiday. We need to be reminded that diseases real and harmful, but that it is *possible to defeat them* (and any evil!) when people work together as one. Better things are possible!

This is why I am pushing for December 9th to be remembered as the day humanity came together to defeat Smallpox. We showed that humanity as a whole is in fact, capable of great works of good that will affect every generation going forward. We need to remind future generations of this achievement!

The day Smallpox was eradicated should be an international holiday. December 9th should stand as a memorial that not only can we change the world for the better, but that the entire world can band together in cooperation to do so.
