This is pure "Muppet Magic". The puppetry is so good, that you forget you seeing a puppet.

It feels kinda like some kind of ethical version of graverobbing. Seeing OK KO style guides is cool because that show was a fucking victim and never got any merch.

I’m happy that im able to see this stuff that motivated me to draw as a kid but also extremely pissed that rich pedophiles ruined my and many other recent grads’ chances of ever working on a show like this. I’m emotional. I’m emotional over Camp Lazlo size charts.

CN assets leak really is bittersweet because especially with how much the network (and lets be honest the industry as a whole) has deteriorated over the years it feels like stuff being sold for parts.

I’m surprised more people don’t bring up ASA’s pseudo-death around the same time because Adult Swim was technically a separate network run by Williams Street directly without CN interference I wouldn’t be surprised if Toonami’s death was ultimately a Williams Street decision

This was also when Miguzi got cancelled, TOM became TOM 4, and a year out from the cancellation of Toonami, the pulling of anime from Adult Swim outside of once a week, and the anime crash as a whole

This marketing material says PPGZ would have aired on CN in 2007. The Boston Mooninite Panic happened on January 30, 2007. CN/AS president Jim Samples resigned February 9th. Pretty obvious the new boss, Stu Snyder, decided against bringing it in.

Some notable things and characters from the 70s included Time for Timer, Sugar Crisp, Bill from Schoolhouse Rock, Captain Caveman, Mr. Owl from Tootsie Pop, Josie and the Pussycats, Quisp, Loralei from The Electric Company, Punchy from Hawaiian Punch, the NBC 'Trapazoid N' logo from '76, the Viacom 'V of Doom' logo also from '76, the Apple II, and Atari's Pong. I can understand wanting to keep stuff wrapped with stuff that's still in production, but there's really no good reason all this stuff should be so private when it's cartoons that ended over a decade ago and the people responsible want it to be seen

You should really be talking something from the fact that every time a leak like this happens, you see a lot of people who worked on the stuff getting leaked glad to see the information go public because they didn't want it hidden

That's a very good point about the cartoon network and other leaks that I feel like is understated in all this Companies keeping all of their production materials so private that not even the people who worked on it can access it is 100% an anti-worker measure

Having a public platform is a choice. Jacob Geller made the choice to have an online career knowing he has past misconduct. He cultivated an audience that would be rightfully disgusted by it. Nobody forced him to do any of this. He chose this path in life and it all reflects heinously on his part.

A big part of accountability after doing heinous shit is the reality that you are permanently barred from many paths in life. Jacob Geller victimized someone in a way that takes years to heal from if it ever does. Him concealing his past actions has irreparably destroyed the trust people had in him.

And they also got the North American rights of RKO’s library (minus remake/sequel rights), including “King Kong” and “Citizen Kane”. Exceptions included “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Bells of St. Mary’s”, both belong to Paramount, now Skydance like the Turner-RKO catalog.

With this, Warner got access to massive properties they still use to this day: Scooby-Doo, Flintstones, Tom & Jerry, Nightmare on Elm Street, the most iconic Wizard of Oz, Casablanca, Christmas Story, among others. And it FINALLY gave WB the full Looney Tunes library again.

I almost forgot that today’s the 30th anniversary of the late Ted Turner’s company (owner of Hanna-Barbera, New Line Cinema, CNN, Cartoon Network, pre-1986 MGM films, and the 30s and 40s WB color cartoons) merging with Time Warner. Probably the least crappy WB merger to date.

Giving the most comedic series to one of the most infamously tragic Avatars ever (before Korra) is an interesting choice, but I’m interested in seeing how it plays out. Kuruk’s been overdue for time in the spotlight anyway. Maybe after this, he can finally get his own young adult novels.

I highly doubt Ray Gunn would win if it got a Best Animated Feature Oscar nomination, considering Wildwood has a stronger chance. Also, Brad Bird confirmed that David Ellison was mostly hands-off with Ray Gunn, so Ellison will try claiming credit for it like he did with Top Gun Maverick’s success.
