I'm honestly surprised you're not familiar with these. This one is Fatimid period, 11th-13th centuries. I have a replica pair myself. They use the earliest known true knitting technique!

It feels so good to have a Star Wars game made by devs, who got to make it the way they wanted, and love classic 2000s games coming out. This is going to be an easy Game of the Year. I am so hyped.

Stadler is working on CoA4 light rail vehicles and Edinburgh and a few other cities are piloting full sized automated buses. That's technology that could get service on every bus route to 10 minutes without hugely driving up costs.

020

Evan Schultheis @evanschultheis.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

That's true but we have significant labor shortages in areas like public transit where they wouldn't lose their jobs and we can transition to faster and more reliable service using automation.

Back when I was with the 2020 Yang campaign (I no longer support Yang to be clear) this was a pretty major discussion topic. The conclusion most of us came to was that what's really going to happen is what they're doing in mining, where you have drone operators who control ~6 autonomous vehicles.

Behind him is a household servant or "oiketes" in a green tunic and blue hosen with black shoes, wearing a shield and carrying a pewter pitcher. He also wears a stupid hat, as is only right and proper in this world.

The second is printing of cards itself. The pattern in which Pokemon prints cards is much more reliable for creating value, with few reprints and reissues of sets and rarities. In comparison, Konami (publisher of Yugioh) is notorious for reprinting high rarity cards, so the swings in value are wild.

010

Evan Schultheis @evanschultheis.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

It's two things coming into play at the same time: parents who grew up on Pokemon in the late 90s/early 00s now have their kids growing up on the same brand in the post-COVID era, which spurs sales and demand for nostalgic stuff from their era their kids can share in. (1/2)

1240

Evan Schultheis @evanschultheis.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Yeah this is what makes things really hard in the south. The North actually gets a "kitten season" because the harsh winter brings that to an end. We don't get that here, so "kitten season" really never stops...
