Absolutely love seeing Ulrich Thomsen in Lanterns. Festen (1998) is a masterpiece that earned every insufferable imitator it has. Nightwatch (1994) is almost as good. He should work til he wants to stop.

One of the first dvds i picked up. You had to flip it over halfway. Side One had the first half of the movie. Side Two had the entirety of Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery on it. Wish I’d kept it instead of exchanging. That was fun product shock.

The more police attempted to dismantle the barricades, the more intense the fighting got. Police & fascists were hit with the contents of chamber pots, hot water, rubbish, rotten vegetables. They were tripped up with marbles. The gentile counter protestors were heavily Irish.
