Kings down 24 pts. Gave up 42, scored 18. The spurs are clicking, but this team looks absolutely awful even with all the starters. Acuff may be the only guy who can draw two on the ball and they're playing him off ball with Simmons. This season is going to be roughhhh

I'm hoping Acuff can create easier looks for him and the other guys. It's great if Acuff can score, but Draymond was right that if Acuff gets 30 pts but > 4 assts, it's going to rough playing with him. At least Acuff has said he's willing to play off ball, so that makes it a little easier.

Unfortunately he seems like the FO guy. We're not going anywhere this year anyways, so I don't mind seeing how it goes this year. If there still isn't improvement, he's got to go the Hart route.

I think he needs to take those shots. He can't get to the basket consistently with his handle and hasn't hit the pull up 3 well either. If for some reason the FO continues to think he can be a pg, he needs to be able to hit the midrange because that's what teams are willing to give up.

While the 3 pt numbers are concerning, I'm more concerned with how dysfunctional the offense looks. Felt like the 1st half relied on putbacks and fast break to score. Nothing created for others through ball movement. Got to figure out ways to create better looks.

Will say that we'll have to see how Keegan and Monk integrate themselves. Some more reliable 3 pt threats could open things up a bit, but teams look like they're going to be willing to let Acuff shoot us into or out of games. No opinion on Simmons. Got to see what he looks like in game.

Kings looked much better defensively tonight. Offense looks atrocious. Max looked a lot better and had some nice passes out of the pnr. Interesting to see if teams are going to give him the 4 v 3 if it's not Acuff or Lavine on the ball. No one else on the team can draw 2. Shout out Precious too.

Exactly. Theoretically having 4 guys who can just be average or better 3 pt shooters should lead to a functional offense. They don't even need to be good defensively. Just be mediocre (20-25) at both and they won't be bottom 3. Just don't be 30th in both like last year.

I don't even think we need him to be good. We just need him to not get the Kings curse of forgetting how to shoot. If him, Keegan, and Hunter are able to hit open shots created by Sabonis and Acuff so that we can see if Acuff can run a functional offense, that'll go a long way.

While I agree that they'll probably cut costs, it's really disappointing to see ownership not willing to pay up when they have such a great player. However, if they're willing to move off Cam or Braun, I'm sure the Kings could find a spot for them if another team wants Derozan's contract.
